some analogue portraits of people who passed throu some analogue portraits of people who passed through my life in recent years.

people I fell in love with, and people I cried for. people who became a shoulder in the dark, and those who pulled me in with a single look. people who unsettled me with the way they loved, people whose life choices I questioned, people I found strange, and people I couldn’t let go of.

there were long nights without sleep, heavy with words and fights, eyes deep enough to disappear into, souls that moved me through the art they made.

some said the harshest things at the wrong moment, some shared tenderness under a full moon, some I made love with while watching sunsets fade. some showed me what true work ethic looks like.

there were those who lent me money when I needed it most, those I walked with for hours, saying nothing, saying everything.

and somewhere in between, one cat, loving without questions, and one dog, reminding me the colours of kindness.

they are all part of me now. each of them left a trace, shaping who I am, quietly, irreversibly.

She arrived a little shy, carrying her art quietly She arrived a little shy, carrying her art quietly with her. the film camera slowed everything down, and somewhere between the click of the shutter and the silence that followed, that shyness gently faded.

An artist and a lover of film photography, she moved with a calm, almost hesitant grace. her velvety voice filled the room as we talked about life in fragments, sometimes deep, sometimes beautifully nonsense. those kinds of conversations linger, leaving behind a soft, melancholic aftertaste you don’t want to shake off.

Moving to Italy is a dream waiting on the horizon. I hope it becomes real for her. And I hope inspiration finds her everywhere, in the light, in the pauses, and in the quiet moments within herself.

🎞️ Shot on film, as it should be.

A day without a plan, and the very beginning of ev A day without a plan, and the very beginning of everything. They were the first couple I ever photographed, and today I felt an unexpected wave of emotion when I heard their news: they now have a baby 🤍 That feeling is exactly why I wanted to share their story again today.

In the first photo, you see her stepping out of Enoteca Buccone after a glass of prosecco to celebrate. No setup, no direction. Just a real moment. We didn’t try to make anything perfect. We walked through Rome, talked, laughed, stopped when the light felt right, shared gelato and wine, and let the city stay alive around us. No route, no pressure, no staged moments. Just two people choosing to elope in Italy in a way that felt honest to them.

They didn’t want empty streets or stiff poses. They wanted Rome as it is. Busy, imperfect, beautiful. That trust they gave the moment and each other is still the reason I love candid elopements so much. This is what it means to be a wedding photographer in Rome: witnessing real life continue, long after the photos are taken.

From an elopement in Rome to a new life together. Some stories really stay with you.

For Vogue Türkiye, I wrote about the Dolomites as they move toward the spotlight of Milano–Cortina 2026. Writing this piece was deeply emotional for me, because this is a region I’ve come to know slowly by hiking its trails, cycling its roads, and photographing it across different seasons. In the article, I talk not only about the Olympics, but also about the hotels, the gastronomy, and the routes that shape everyday life in the mountains. A place where winter is not just a season, but a rhythm.

Alice and Jeremie were the last couple I photograp Alice and Jeremie were the last couple I photographed in 2025 and it felt like the perfect way to close the year. Their civil elopement in Bologna was intimate and quiet, shared only with their closest friends. Even though it was December, the light was kind to us and the weather stayed on our side.

The most unexpected moment came when a police car slowed down next to us. For a second we all got nervous, then the window opened and the officer smiled and said “Congrats!” A small, human gesture that stayed with all of us. I’ll be photographing their wedding celebration again in summer and I’m already happy knowing I’ll see them again.

If you’re planning an elopement or civil wedding in Bologna or anywhere in Italy and you’re looking for honest, natural storytelling by a wedding photographer, this is exactly the kind of day I love to document.

Ann and Tony’s elopement wedding in Taormina was p Ann and Tony’s elopement wedding in Taormina was pure joy. Kind souls, full of love, completely present, and not bothered at all by the weather changing its mind every ten minutes: cloudy, then sunny, then cloudy again.

It was one of those Sicilian afternoons where laughter, soft light, and sea breeze come together like poetry. Their ceremony was intimate and deeply emotional. With the celebrant, they exchanged vows filled with honest words, quiet promises, and a few tears that didn’t need to be hidden. No audience. No pressure. No performance. Just two people standing together in Taormina, in a country that felt like home for a few hours. As a wedding photographer in Taormina, Sicily, these are the moments I care about most: when time slows down, when movement matters more than poses, and when people forget the camera is there.

I shared their analogue photos here some time ago. Here are the digital ones. Another layer of the same story, told with the same calm and intention.

That first photo, a long exposure taken on film, s That first photo, a long exposure taken on film, seems to stand somewhere between photography and painting. There’s a special pleasure in shooting long exposures with an analogue camera; they capture not just what I see, but what I feel. As a wedding photographer in Taormina, Sicily, I love turning fleeting moments into something timeless with my 35mm film camera.

As usual, I’ll share the digital photos later. For now, here’s a glimpse of their wedding day through film.

This is Rae and Matthew. I had the pleasure of pho This is Rae and Matthew. I had the pleasure of photographing their intimate wedding ceremony in Sicily, one of those unforgettable Mediterranean days that remind me why I love being a wedding photographer in Sicily.

Surrounded by their closest friends, they chose warmth over spectacle and laughter over perfection. Rae and Matthew reminded me of the beauty of keeping things humble, even when you have the resources and time to make them luxurious, gorgeous, and all that jazz. It was a true destination wedding in Sicily, simple yet deeply emotional, the kind of day where love, friendship, and the sound of the sea become the only décor you need.

Their coziness, their open-minded energy, and the way they simply were made my work effortless.

I previously shared the analogue photos from this beautiful day, and now it’s time for the digital ones, a different texture, same soul.

As a wedding photographer in Italy, I’m always drawn to stories like theirs: honest, slow, and human. I’ll miss these two and our long conversations under the Sicilian sun that October day in Sant’Elia.
